cup cake crazy cat

I just love cup cakes and have been wanting to have a go at decopatch. I do like the decopatch papers, but I like napkins covered in cupcakes much more, so I decided to have a bit of an experiment and this is what I came up with.

Acetate layouts

These are two pages I created for a class I taught yesterday at Modscraps. Had a lovely day, people seemed to like the technique and it was lovely to see everyone's layouts they were all really different.

Mushroom houses

Made this double layout after a circle journal entry I was reluctant to give away. I used to love Enid Blyton books as a child and I wanted to live in one of those mushroom houses.

Mini Book in a matchbox

This was a kit designed by Faye for our second Charity crop. The box is a matchbox painstakingly painted and covered with card. The book inside is all about the text messages the children send me. Some of them are hilairious and are a good reminder of the things happening at the time. Before I deleted them I wrote them down and now have a record(text speak and all) that covers just a month!

The dragon has moved on.

The dragon and the beanstalk have gone! The dragon wrote to each class to tell them he was going to help children in another school with their writing, so yesterday afternoon the children decided they wanted to send a letter or make things for him to say goodbye. There were beautiful pictures in frames, 3D pop up cards and letters all in a special box decorated by one child.

On Tuesday some burnt leaves appeared and the ideas as to how they got there were hilairious, but my favourite was "well the dragon might have a cold, and used the leaf to blow his nose and fire accidentally came out of his nostrils, and that's how the leaf got burnt!

The beanstalk again

We have a themed week of dragons next week and book week. I had a lovely time Friday afternoon trying to create the shape of a dragon's tail with some green paper (no card big enough) and some gold card. After a lot of trial and error this is the final result. Can't wait to see the children's reaction on Monday.

Mini book

I have made this book using lots of circles folded into quarters, the button is a plain (cheap) button and an experiment with sharpies. Have decorated a few more and will post when I have done something with them.

Updated beanstalk

Thanks to Jayne a fairy appeared on the beanstalk over the weekend. We told the children the camera we left on ran out of battery so had a power point of a few frames of the beanstalk and the last one showed the fairy. They were adament that the fairy had purple feet to match the footprints on our beanstalk.

Tea Party

This photo holds so many memories I decided to scrap it. I used the fiskars circle cutter to scollop the frame, Cherish alphabet, a sizzlit cupcake die and some buttons.

First Canvas

I've wanted to try a canvas for ages, and this is my first attempt. I used Jillibeans papers and lots of 3d foam dots.

The boy's got style

My nephew has very definite ideas about dress sense, think he is doing his non-conforming teenage years at 2!

Productive

I have used white bazzil which has been flocked, the title has been hand stitched onto felt and buttons added.

Busy Day

Have managed two layouts today, still trying to use paper I have had for ages. I have sewn around the edge of the bird in blanket stitch and the butterflies are cuttlebug cut and emboss with stickles in the middle.

Wide awake

This is a photo I have been meaning to scrap for ages. I used my Fiskars circle cutter for the page border and the lace type interior border.
